The Karnala Bird Sanctuary is situated approximately 10 kms from Panvel. In order to reach the fort, one has to travel through the bird sanctuary. There are sharing Rickshaws available from the panvel station to reach the karnala bird sanctuary. The per person cost for these Rickshaws would be approximately 25 rupees. The entry ticket for the bird sanctuary costs Rs 70 per person. Also there should be Rs 100 for carrying still camera and Rs 150 for video camera paid at the counter There is a small restaurant near the first aid room wherein if you inform them for the food, then they would prepare the food for you.
