To some place were you, your loved ones and lovely nature? Well then don't think much and head straight to Matheran, the coolest place in this scorching heat. This place has an aroma of its own which will make you realise its worth the moment you enter this place

Toy Train
Well come on even you expected this to be in the first place! The train makes its way from the forests to reach the enchanting home to greenery. The best feature of matheran would be undoubtedly Toy Train. This toy train which has the route from Neral Junction to Matheran.
The timings are ( towards Matheran) : 6:40 am, 9:10 am, 10:40 am, 12:00 pm and 5:05 pm
(towards Neral) : 7:20 am, 12:50 pm, 3:15 pm, 4:60 pm.

Louisa Point
You can either walk towards this place or else ride a horse to reach. The horse ride will cost you approximately 500 per person. This place is the correct place where you won't see much people around, The route to reach this place is not clear which makes it quite difficult to reach this place.

Sunset point 
Arguably the most beautiful place you eill see in matheran. Grab your cameras and get ready to click some amazing shots of nature. The place is easy to reach and most beautiful. 

Charlotte lake
This is the only and only place in matheran to have a seat and unwind the beauty of nature. There are various food joints here which makes it the favourite of many travellers. Tired from the walking and running? Then get your maggi and rest at the lake site. 

Echo point
I don't even know why it is called as wxho point! There are absolutely no echos. Climbing all the stairs and reaching to this place is just not that worthy. Only 1 of the 50 voice comes back. 

Alexander point
The most dangerous point of matheran eould be porcupine point. No fence or anything to barricade the area but yet there are travellers who dare to come here and take photographs for profile picture and couples who fake titanic pose thinking they look like leo and kate. 

Panorama point
You will be able to see many mountains frim yhis point. And there would be people selling cold drinks here.

Prabhal fort & Rambaug fort
A delight to the trekker's soul. These forts are like a happy song for the people intrested in trekking. Lots of greenery and cool breeze is what constitutes the place. 

The best time to visit matheran would be from January to march. The entry ticket to reach matheran is 100 Rs. Accommodations are easy to find once you reach matheran. There would be several hotels and cottages. Avoid booking cottage on the foothills of mathetan. You can reach Neral station by boarding central railway. Nature is a beautiful place so please try to conserve it.

Bracing Bhandardara - A camp under the stars!

The idea of Camping under the stars itself is so enchanting that one will just be daydreaming the moment they hear it out.
