Lohagad, a symbol of valour

Lohagad.. Well the most well maintained fort of lonavala would be arguably Lohagad only. With its giangitic walls and amazing staircases it depicts a history of its own. Every wall echoes the richness of the past and the legacy of the legends. It seems that the Lohagad Fort wants to decipher the witnessing of greatness of Raja Shivchhatrapati!

Reaching lohagad is very easy as compared to other forts of lonavala. You can get any train till lonavala station and from there various private transports are available which help us reach the lohagad trail. The local raiway is another means to reach the destination. Malavli station would be the nearest station for lohagad & Bhaja caves. There are various trains from lonavala to reach malavli.
