Korigad - Nature's waterpark

Korigad, where the water depends from sky and reaches the stairs. The trek en routes through the tress, a bit of offloading you say and reaches the stairs! Spelled as Koraigad, the fort is an easy trek and can be a boost for the people who have just started trekking.


If you're confused as to which spot you should choose for a start for trekking then korigad is the ideal option for you. Probably just 15 minutes from Tiger Point Lonavala, this place is for the ones who like easy treks. An ideal weekend getaway you see!

The Fort is situated near aamby valley. One can reach by road as well as by train. One has to get down at Lonavala Station and take a rickshaw from their to the foothills of Korigad. They charge around 150 Rs Per Person.

The Primary Attraction here is the Waterfall Flowing through the Stairs. The water is as cold as ever and the purest you will see. It  takes around 1 maximum hour to reach the top.  However there are no
food stalls on the way. You can find the food stall at the top of the fort.




One can find great views while reaching the top. However, Korigad is amongst the few forts where the journey to the top is more beautiful than actually visiting the top. The fort has a pond and temple at the top and one can witness several broken walls and doors.
Food is available at the foothills of the fort.






The trek overall can cost upto 400-500 Rs, from Pune or Mumbai.

However, the best time to visit this place would be from June to August.
