Kitsch Kanyakumari

Kanyakumari, the end point of India has a story of its own for its natural peace and and ambiance. Kanyakumari Temple:

This Temple has been completely built from stones and bricks. There is a statue of goddess kanyakumari established here. Only lamps are lit in this temple. There is no use of electricity.Also there is a dress code to be followed. The men have to wear the traditional lungi whereas the women have to wear sarees. Here anything made of leather is not allowed to carry inside. The timings here is from 4:30 am to 12 pm and 4 pm to 8:30 pm.

Rock Memorial:

This is the place situated a while away from the shore. Ferry is available to travel at this memorial. The Photography is not allowed inside the Rock memorial. The ferry tickets is Rs 34 for up and down. The timings here is from 8 am to 12:30 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm. You will find a large crowd of tourists at this place. There is a huge statue of Swami Vivekananda established here. Also there is amazing exhibition of books here! Make sure you don't miss this one!





Triveni Sangam:

Regarded as the confluence of three rivers, this place is high in beauty. The Beautiful spot where the three most important rivers of India, i.e, the Ganga, the Yamuna & the Saraswati meet. One can actually make out the difference with the help of the colors of the rivers. There will be only water for as long as you can see & thus at one point it looks like the sky and the water unite!
You can take the ferry from kanyakumari to reach this place.
however the best time to visit this place would be 4 pm to 5 pm

Gandhi Mandapam:

This place is built in memory of Mahatma Gandhi. There are various photographs of the incidents during India's struggle period. It is mandatory to remove your footwear when you enter this place. The most important reason to visit this place would be due to sunset. You will have a good look of the sunset from this place. The sunset here is at 6:30 pm and the Sunrise is at 6:13 am.


Suchindram:

Well, there's no place in Kerala where you would not find a temple. So here's the temple! There is a market near the temple. DO NOT SHOP HERE ANYTHING BUT SHOWPIECE. And yes, the dress code is applicable here. That is the lungi for men and saree for women and not a single thing made of leather is permitted inside.
